Gorsebrook Park

Jul 2020

UPLAND provided detailed design, tender documents and construction administration and review of private townhouse terraces, tenant amenity spaces, perimeter plantings and green roofs at Gorsebrook Park Condos. The building is flanked by a series of rectilinear corten steel planter boxes that frame individual garden terraces for the townhouse tenants. The planters feature year-round interest planting and screening. On the southwest side of the building are both private townhouse terrace spaces and outdoor multi-use amenity space for all tenants featuring a swimming pool and an outdoor lounge area with fire bowls. The pool-side includes planters with feature trees and ornamental grasses creating a feeling of enclosure and privacy. The rear of the building steps down in terraces to the existing grade of the historic park, with tenant access to the park through a new stand of deciduous trees. On the 9th floor roof are individual terraces and a funky sedum and beach stone green roof.
